When Shamaeel Ansari religiously sticks to doing Luxury Pret she does wonders which is witnessed and praised by all, always. The 'HALI" collection was inspired by the carpet design itself taking form through Shamaeel's signature embroidery, prints and modern silhouettes. The collection, full of rich pastiche, was shown in the recent Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week 2015.
The collection was wildly romantic, imbued with rich history. The clothes were structured yet had a certain softness. The Hali patterns were a major influence and played out in the flourishy print and embroidered elements, while silhouettes leaned toward the decidedly feminine. The print mixing was balanced by keeping the jewel-toned palette consistent and muted which created harmony even in chaos (if you really notice).
Rich fabric choices like various silks and chiffon with obscure prints laden with intricate web of embroidery and tila work, the collection embodied the essence of Shamaeel's regal touch. The clothes themselves were praiseworthy however the experience could have been trifold if the music and styling were not off and clashed with the theme. That mash, however, didn't stop the eyes from sparkling and the admiration of the grand, worthy finale of Fashion week SS15 which keep us on our toes till the very end.
