What He REALLY Wants on Valentine's Day

Valentine's day, when you literally get overdosed with red hearts and cheesy as F#*k love messages everywhere. Oh, let's not forget teddy, because Valentine's day is incomplete without them. This blog is not about the mushy or the sugar coated "aww gifts", neither is it about women, rather for women to know (a bit more than they already do).

There are countless Gift options for men, yet I notice that most women tend to go too cute and cuddly with their better halves. Most of the time the gifts just end up being what THEY themselves 'Believe' their husband or boyfriend want. Have we really asked them what the men really want? I did, many of them in fact, and have collected some INSIGHT for all you ladies out there.

Of course men don't mind chocolates, teddies or sweet personalized gifts, specially if you made it yourself! However, we need to understand that men have different tastes and personalities just like us women. There is the romantic kind, the successful,practical kind, the bad boy, the artistic one, the geek and then last but not the least the 'Ass Kisser' (lets just leave the ass kisser out cause he will probably be giving your more gifts than receiving any! :p). 

Even with the diverse personalities there are certain things men really want and will appreciate. So if you plan to give chocolates or a personalized mug add one of the following as well and he will become a keeper!

1.Boys and their Toys:

Truer words were never spoken. The way men get excited about gadgets is like a little kid with a new toy. Gadgets made the top of the list in my survey, the most wanted being iPad and iPhone 6. A photographer friend even wished for some camera lenses ;)

2. Give Him some Adventure:
Think about it. "Wake up. Head to work. Work. Head Home. Dinner. Sleep. Repeat." How about we add a "time out" to that routine? After gadgets the most requested wish was a vacation or ticket to their favorite destination. Ok so ALL of us ladies cant really just hand over a vacation trip to our man as a gift. HOWEVER we can start with small adventures which he may prefer while planning the big one (for someday soon!). 

Now when I say adventure it doesn't necessarily mean "roughing it up". A fun plan for camping, scuba diving, road trip, beach, farm, whatever tickles his fancy. Even a simple change in the usual routine or going out to watch his favorite sport can be refreshing. A bored man is an unhappy man. What happened to living life to the fullest? Live it with him and he will love you more. P.S: a friend even said during the survey "I'ld rather go to a destination rather then receive a Gucci Wallet".

3. Shower him with LUXURY Accessories:

Watches are as essential to men as bags and shoes are to women. Yes men love wallets, cuff-links, perfumes and shoes but watches beat the rest in terms of preference and love.

A watch is a symbol class for every man and each design or style of watch can even portray his personality. Watches are the most noticeable and flaunted item by men so get him something worth showing off (and remembering you when ever he does).

4. Give him some Food Lovin:

Even though being health conscious is good and has become quite a fad, men will always be the biggest foodies there are. A break (cheat day) is fine on this day so you can either cook up a storm for him or take him out to his favorite eating place. Food always puts a smile on their face.

Want to make it more exciting? Get him a BBQ grill and let him host a Steak Party for two. Win win for both ;)

The above mentioned four are basically the most requested and doesn't mean it ends there. Every man is different. Some geeky ones may prefer their favorite 'limited edition' figurine, some golf loving guy may want an extra Golf stick, a gentleman may prefer some Cuban cigars and others may even be happy with a hug and rose. The options are limitless, just keep your eyes and heart open to him :)

I would like to END OFF with saying that ALL that I have mentioned in this post is not a scientific research, only a fun survey, some experience and observation over the years which I am sharing. Valentine's Day is about expressing your love and having fun so just do that and be happy!

P.S: It's also the day when no matter how much RED you wear no one will judge you :p
