Its Cricket WORLD CUP 2015! Every Cricket fan across the globe is hooked to their TVs, laptops, radios, any medium that is keeping them up to date with scores. The crazy fans even have their CWC15 wardrobe essential: the sports JERSEY of their supporting team. Excitement is in the air but style sense? Not so much! Most of us ladies tend to just focus on the jersey when they can do so much more than just drabby.
You dont have to be a cricket lover to make the look work, just going to watch the game together with friends is a reason good enough to look good for a fashion savvy.
One great advantage of owning a jersey is that the men appreciate it as they get a feeling that we ladies know something about the sports (even if we don't!) which is attractive ;)
When donning our selves with our favorite Jersey lets keep the following points in mind:
1. DON'T pair the jersey with sports tracks, you are watching the game, not playing it. The over all attire just screams DRAB like nothing else and overly sporty is not the focus.
2. DON'T wear an over-sized jersey unless you are a size zero or a Victoria Secrets Model. We may think it looks hot when it's NOT.
3. DON'T wear a size too small either. That is something you shouldn't do in general, period!
4. DO try tucking in the jersey, even half way perhaps. It ads a bit of style to the basic.
5. DO wear fitted pants or denims as the jersey on its own usually doesn't have much form so it balances out the look, top to bottom.
6. DO try to add some Heels to the look and you will be amazed at the style upgrade. Wearing funky sneakers is also cool, but heels? Come on should we even argue with sexy sports chic?
7. DO try not just sticking to Denims. Fitted pants and even go for some prints, though make sure you don't go overboard.
8. DON'T go over with accessories. You are going to watch a game, not attending a wedding.
9. DO try to play with your hair. Don't just let it hang there, side braids, buns, curls and bounce, have some fun.
10. DON'T Look like a tribal warrior. Try to focus on balanced, yet fun makeup. Colored war stripes and flag painted on your face? You are already flaunting a jersey so is it really that necessary to make the obvious too 'OBVIOUS'.
11. DO try to add a little LUXE effect with some gold bling and a clutch in hand.
12. DO try pullovers, jackets and stoles. It adds definition and 100 points to oomph.
13. DO go sleeveless if you can dare to.
14. Above all DO have fun and DON'T be a sore loser if your team looses. Life is too short to frown so just smile and be fabulous!
xx,
Red Alice

I've always thought oversized jersey, skinny jeans and stilettos as a very chic look. I'm not sure if I can pull it off but I love the looks of it!

Thats the point that it looks so good but we should try it out and only sport it if it looks good on us. By the way I think you will rock it ;)

I love your tips! These are perfect. I definitely agree with you about not wearing things that are too big or too small.
