I have heard a lot about Rejuve by Aliya Farooq and one of the salons. Mehar J Mirza procured their franchise on Khayaban e Bukhari, Defence, Karachi and I was invited to try out their services. I never say no to a good Spa opportunity, specially when I am in dire need of some.
Its been two months since the salon has opened up. The space is quite comfortable and spacious. The only thing that is slightly bothersome in the beginning is the new wood lacquer fumes but your eyes get adjusted to them in a bit. I like how it is designed, utilizing different service area within one space, yet not making it stuffy.
The salon provides multiple services, from hair treatments, cut, colors to facials, from manicures, massages, spa treatments to makeup. Since the dust storm that swept Karachi away a few weeks ago my skin have been misbehaving so I decided to go for a Deep cleansing Facial and the facialist recommended Guinot Oxygen Facial because my skin was also very dehydrated and texture. My hands and feet needed some TLC too so that would follow after the much needed facial.
The Guinot Oxygen facial was approx 6k (or less, you can check with them) but totally worth it. Guinot is a reliable spa skincare brand and I trust it completely as I have gotten lots of Guinot treatments done in the past. The Oxygen Facial was very thorough. The facialist was so comforting, communicated in a soft voice only when necessary, explained the process so I knew what was happening and her hands were so warm which is always a plus point for masseur. The facial massage along with the products used was satisfying as well. I always love a bonus foot massage during facials which is also included in these facials. It relaxes you further. What does this Facial do exactly? Your cells need oxygen to stay healthy and nourished. Guinot oxygen facial delivers oxygen to the deepest layers of your skin and makes it glow. This facial removes all impurities from the epidermis boosting the oxygen content. It also removes the dead cells from the top layer, opens up clogged pores, and brings out that natural blush on your cheeks.
I could see and feel the difference and was definitely happy with the results. My skin, which felt really dry and textured before, was smooth and glowing. I actually felt lighter too.
Followed up with OPI manicure and Pedicure. The girls were very gentle and thorough. I had gotten OPI manicure/Pedicure done a lot and this was done well. My only suggestion would be to go for disposable equipment rather than reusable ones though they were very clean and sterilized. End result was happy hands and feet of course.
Overall experience was good. The staff is polite and welcoming, Mehar herself was a good host. I would suggest that if you are In Defence Karachi you should try them out and do remember to share your experience with me!
