I went to a recent beauty blogger's meetup by The Body Shop Pakistan, held on May 3rd, which was very delightful. It was short and sweet, other than the discussion on the new product launches they also announced a great cause they have initiated. The Body Shop global is supporting the Red Panda Network which is making efforts to protect red pandas and their habitat. I am all about protecting and conserving nature and animals.
So basically: Every time you purchase the TBS Charcoal Mask or Charcoal soap a certain percentage goes to saving the endangered Red Pandas. That is really nice, look into it!
Let's review the products I got which I have been using since the launch to get a thorough idea. I am not going to discuss the packaging because The Body Shop, as we all know, has one of the best packaging designs. Let's just move on directly to product reviews, ok? ok!
Its nourishing and is also infused with other benefits and not just for refreshing and hydrating. It reduces dull skin, your skin feels great as well as cool, no more tired looking, drabby face. I might finish this very soon and also have my eyes on the other variants which are Mint Mattifying, Rose Dewy Glow, Strawberry smoothing and Coco Calming. Even the names are adorbs.
Retails for approx pkr.1,500/-
The TBS body yogurt is enriched with rose extracts and almond milk which lead to radiant, refreshing skin. I usually apply this during the day after I shower. Make sure your skin is still damp as it absorbs better and plumps up your skin too.
If you want, you can check out the other variants available too like Almond Milk, Strawberry (used that one before), Moringa (smells as divine as Roses) and Mango. The body Yogurt retails for approx: Pkr.2,350.
It smells great and doesn't dry out skin. The soap is for normal to oily skin (I have combination skin which gets oily in summers) but I feel that even dry skin can easily benefit from this soap. It also has some grainy bits of charcoal so if you use it directly on your face, swirling in gentle circular motions, you can also utilize this soap for exfoliation. Overall, the experience is satisfactory.
The soap retails for approx pkr.1,060 and if you purchase this charcoal soap a certain percentage will go towards saving the red pandas!

The Body Shop Mandarin Energising Face Mist
Meet my current best friend. I carry this face mist everywhere, EVERY WHERE. It is bae in this crazy hot summers of Karachi. I use it as a refresher if I have makeup on or just most my face if I am out somewhere and need hydration on face. My favorite way to use this is to spritz some after workout to give my after workout glow a boost! Its nourishing and is also infused with other benefits and not just for refreshing and hydrating. The Body Shop British Rose Body Yogurt
You want to smell like roses while getting soft, fresh skin? You better check this Body Yogurt. I seriously love using it in this hot and humid weather because its super lightweight (not greasy at all!), almost instantly absorbs and extremely hydrating. This may be because of the gel like formula. It claims that it upholds moisture for 48 hours but I didnt test that yet. I usually reapply but mainly cause I love the smell of roses, yum.The TBS body yogurt is enriched with rose extracts and almond milk which lead to radiant, refreshing skin. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Soap
When I got this in the goodie bag I was very excited because it looked really promising. The soap is supposed to wash off impurities, reduces excess oil, leaving skin feeling squeaky clean and through time the over all appearance also improves thanks to Tea Tree oil and eucalyptus Oil in the soap. My experience was not bad. It makes your skin softer but I did not see reduced pores yet. It didn't clear or reduce my acne either but I have heard it does and it may be just with my skin, maybe. It smells great and doesn't dry out skin. The soap is for normal to oily skin (I have combination skin which gets oily in summers) but I feel that even dry skin can easily benefit from this soap. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask
I have already been using this mask and have also reviewed it before which you can read HERE. However, I am glad I got it again as my sister keep stealing the old one. She can keep it, I got this! It is a great detox for skin and sucks out impurities leaving skin fresh, clean and even tighter (for me at least). Apply with a flat brush in thin layers, leave for 15 to 20 mins and wash off. The mask retails for approx pkr. 4.380/- at all The Body Shop outlets throughout Pakistan. Also, if you buy this mask, as I already mentioned, a percentage will go to saving the red pandas!Disclaimer: pricing may differ.
