Eye of Horus is one of my favorite cosmetic brands for eye makeup. The eye shadow palette that I will be talking about in this blog post is a fierce little thing. It is their Isis Sun Goddess Trio Shadow Palette and it has taken a very special place in my heart and cosmetics drawer.
Eye of Horus is an Australian based cosmetics brand which mainly produces eye makeup products. It attracted me even more because I love Egyptian mythology which is their main inspiration. I have already reviewed two other great products from Eye of Horus Cosmetics. If you missed that you can check the review of their Dual Brow Perfect, my go to for natural statement eyebrows and Liquid Define Babylon Brown Eye Marker which I am still using and it has not dried out!
There is something so sexy about the matte black packaging with gold foil print, almost magical. The sturdy, magnetic flip, cardboard palette is similar to The Balm packaging in terms of material. The size is very handy and can even fit into your pocket or small clutch.
Eye Of Horus has four variations of Trio Eye shadow palettes. The Isis Sun Goddess Trio palette is made of three, very pretty, shimmery metallic eye shades. All three shades are baked eye shadows and highly pigmented as well as buttery and long lasting. My only concern is the fallout which can be controlled if you use a loose powder under your eyes (or tissue paper). I usually apply my eye makeup first followed by the rest of the face so I just clean fall out with a makeup wipe.
These eye shadows can be used dry, which is what I mostly do, or you can intensify their look by applying them with a wet brush. The formula is also paraben free. I also used one of the shades and mixed it with Inglot duraline to create a metallic eyeliner! You can dab it on your lipsticks for a
metallic sheen too.
The three shades in the Trio Palette are:
Enigma Mist - Soft Pink Metallic Satin (light)
Chalice Bronze - Golden Bronze Metallic Satin (medium)
Sacred Husk - Rich Golden Brown Metallic Satin (dark)
Overall a great palette. I do hope they increase the shades to five in the future and add a transition neutral matte and matte dark shade to make it even more dramatic. You can buy this palette from Eye of Horus WEBSITE for $46.

The colors are wearable.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty palette. My kind of colors.
ReplyDeleteThe eyeshadows look super pigmented and the shades are so my kind. but I agree with you about having a matte transition shade. It is very necessary in every palette.
ReplyDeleteA bit expensive but I've tried EOH eyeliners before so I know the quality is amazing! Love the neutral look you did!
ReplyDeleteThe packaging looks great but inclusion of some transition shades would have been better. Nonetheless, it is a lovely palette. xx
