I went to the beach yesterday. It was perfect, like always. The water was chilly so I didn't take a dip but walked along the shore in knee high water. The aftermath of salty sea water, sun and cold weather was dry, patchy skin, sigh. I recently received a body scrub from Salina cosmetics and thought this is the ideal time to test it out in terms of exfoliation of the dead skin.
Salina Cosmetics is a local company and has a limited, yet good, range of organic skincare products. I will be reviewing their famous Orglow Face mask as well but for today I was in dire need of the scrub.
The BRAND Claims:
"Scrubglow is an instant exfoliating body scrub, that softens and rejuvenates the skin! Made with carefully selected minerals, salts, essential and natural oils, Scrubglow nourishes the skin, removes dry skin and dead skin cells, leaving the skin softer and healthier!"
The product boasts of exfoliation, softening and rejuvenation. The scrub is organic and definitely made in coconut oil because the smell is so apparent it cannot be ignored. It also leaked and the entire room smelled of coconut so needs better packaging, though I like the simple jars and basic text label they have. I do wish they would add more details about the ingredients as well as the quantity of the product because that is quite assuring for most. We can't keep guessing with smelling and texture only, which is what I did with the scrub.
My EXPERIENCE:
The scrub is in a simple plastic jar with a seal (not as effective at the moment). Initially, when I took a glob of this product to use it was super greasy and messy to apply. You simply rub it, circular motion advised, all over (or select parts) your body. Follow by washing it off with body wash or soap, as per your preference.
At first, I felt it was too oily but as the water dried the moisture absorbed into my skin and it was clean and soft. I tried it before waxing and it made a difference in helping with ingrown hair. I got no rashes or skin reaction from using it (thank God) so the product earned brownie points for that as well.
From what I guessed, it's made from a mixture of salt and sugar in coconut oil. It is good for the skin and I was eventually impressed. First impression did make me doubt a little but I am glad I went ahead and tried it properly and was satisfied at the end.
AVAILABILITY & COST:
The Product can be purchased online from SALINA COSMETICS website for PKR. 900/-
You can get further updates from the brand's official FACEBOOK page as well.
DISCLOSURE: Samples are provided by the Brand/PR company. Reviews are always honest and never paid for unless specified as Sponsored.

Its possible cause it is organic so yes!
DeleteI usually prefer home made body scrub as they give you more options to add ingredients according to you requirement. However would try this one too.

Proper labelling is so crucial otherwise local products look like homemade DIYs! The scrub sounds fab, especially for helping with ingrown hair!
