Just saying the word "noodles" brings immense joy to me. I may be addicted but this doesn't require therapy, just less consumption, thank god.
I wanted to challenge my taste buds, yes food lovers do that all the time, so asked around about the spiciest noodles in town. Simple Dimple's Noodle 15 (yes that is the name) won the vote of recommendation so I ordered some.
I saw this opportunity as a chance to practice my chopstick skills because I rarely get to use these here. Imagine eating your Allo Gosht with chopsticks, disastrous indeed. I am no pro with chopsticks, but I try.
Simple Dimple is a great place to order from when you crave some Thai curry, noodles, beef chilli dry and other various Asian food options that are available on the menu. Noodles15 is, supposedly, laden with chillies and spices that can potentially burn your mouth (and your bum later), so do take a bite first and proceed with caution.
I have tried other noodle options from the Simple Dimple menu. They are always cooked well, chewy but not soggy. The sad truth is that soggy noodles are equivalent to killing the dish, therefore, people who still enjoy that do not know their noodles like they should.
The chicken pieces should be smaller in size for an easy bite, but were juicy and packed with flavor. The vegetables, carrots and string beans, were not over cooked which will make you savor that added crunch. The real punch, however, came from the chopped red chillies and the sauce that the noodles were enfolded in. There was an apparent taste of hot sauce in the stir fry concoction. This was an extremely chopstick friendly dish, in case you want to go ahead and grab some. Squeeze some lemon on top for a bit of sourness that will elevate your experience.
The spice level was unpredictable but high enough. I do wish they would go easy on the oil. I actually hope that for most "desi" (local) restaurants.
My chapped, winter lips were on fire but my belly was happy. It's a dish recommended for those who can endure high levels of chilli like I do. If not, then you should stay far away unless you are in the mood for some high degree burns.
You will get a generous serving of Noodles15 for Rs.385/- and delivery charges are separate (dependant on location and total order).
Unfortunately, Simple Dimple is available only in Karachi, but now you know what to try when you visit.
