Go NUDE this summer with ESSENCE Cosmetics

I am totally into rich, bright shades, but sometimes a little downtime with nudes and neutrals is a breather too. This summer is all about going natural (in makeup, of course, don't lose the clothes!). I got a few makeup goodies to test from ESSENCE which can totally support the trend.

The season is all about nude nails and whats is better than having nail color that are also super long lasting. Almost impossible to believe if there is an easier way to get gel nails at home instead of going to the salon right? Well, I have tested these essence nail polishes and have some interesting news.

ESSENCE The Gel Base Coat:

I was a bit reluctant to use this because I mostly had bad experience with such products. This fellow, however, surprised me. The formula is thick, but applies fine and dries quickly. I tested it with the Essence Gel Nail polish as well as other nail colors and believe me, there was NO CHIPPING for a week. Afterward I actually took the color off so it may even go on without chipping. Very happy with it. Its a winner for me and I would definitely buy this again. The product retails at approx PKR.300+ (fluctuates a little in every shop as well as online).

ESSENCE I Love Trends - The Nudes in 05 Pure Soul:

I used this sweet, light, almost white shade on top of the gel base coat. For a sheer look you can apply once. I applied twice for a more opaque finish. The formula is very cream-like and application is also easy. The shade is off white-ish with a slight tint of pink. The nail color has a very subtle shimmer in it as well. Didn't chip for days! It retails for approximately PKR 270+ (fluctuates a little in every shop as well as online).

ESSENCE The Gel Nail Polish - 04 Our Sweetest day:

This is pure love. The shimmer is so magical. You can wear this without any base color for a sheer effect or use it on top of a color of your choice. I tested it with Essence 05 Pure Soul to add that extra oomph to the nude nails look. I love the application brush the most. t gives almost flawless application. Dries almost instantly and super long lasting. Doesn't chip for days. Retails at approx PKR.270+  (fluctuates a little in every shop as well as online).

ESSENCE Eye shadow - 15 Hazel me not:

Such an all rounder shade, an almost skin tone, works wonderfully as a base eye shadow over a smokey warm look or you can actually just use it as one layer and apply liner for a day wear/office look. I prefer using it for office. I have been using it a lot and loving it. The texture is so creamy and pigmented, applies smoothly. It is also very long lasting and doesn't irritate my eyes (I wear contacts).

ESSENCE Long Lasting Lipstick - 13 Love Me:

The formula of this lipstick is deliciously creamy and glides on like butter. Its rich and gives full coverage. Moisturizing with a glossy finish. It claims to be long lasting but I didn't feel it lasted as long as anyone would want it to. I still loved the texture and don't mind applying after a couple of hours. The shade is a natural pink with a coral tint. It has a warm undertone. I mostly prefer darker shades but this is a keeper for those smokey eye days. Retails at approx 430+  (fluctuates a little in every shop as well as online).

The VERDICT:
I have always been a fan of essence nail colors but also ended up liking the eye shadow and lipstick and will be trying more stuff from this brand.
