Generation, one of my go-to brands to shop from since childhood. That's how legendary it is, literally. The brand was one the very few to offer affordable, ready to wear apparels for casual and semi-formal affairs. Generations, instead of fizzling out with the introduction of many other similar brands, have instead evolved even further and offering even more.
Now usually we here "Oh an Eid Collection is launching by a brand/ Designer" but its a totally different story at Generation. They have FIVE different collections in store for you which they will be releasing every week.
Want to hit it off with some Denim love this Eid, prefer keeping it simple or going a bit funk and fusion, Generation's collections are packed with at least one piece to fuel your desired look.
Other than the collections' preview I also truly enjoyed interacting with the team, especially Khadija Rehman, who despite being the Director, was so down to earth, humble and took great pride in explaining in detail the concept as well as the process of each and every collection.

1. Tales of the Orient: As the name suggest the collection is inspired by Oriental paintings and architecture. Mainly comprised of resham embroidery, adda and cutwork fused together to create a texture like layer of spring blossoms and flower vines juxtaposed with latticework. The Fabric of choice; gold tissue, raw silk and khaddi net with crushed dupattas. Tales of the Orient is a semi-formal series and will be available in all Generation outlets from 4th June onwards and will retail between Rs 13000 to Rs. 19000.
2. The Botanist: The Botanist collection basically looks like beautiful hand painted, watercolor gardens. The series is simple and detail is added through Organza and tilla to give it a formal look for Eid. This collection is available in pastel shades and luxe fabrics including voile, viscose, cambric and dobby net and will be available from 12th July with the price range of Rs. 2800-4500.
3. Al–Mashriq Collection: Inspired by Indian jewelry and arabesque, the collection is the most traditional out of five collections. Fabrics used in this collection are the summery voile, jacquards, organzas, embroidered cotton and net in a soft palette of white, off white, beige and gold. The collection will be within the price range of Rs. 2800-4500.
4. The Denim Collection: The acid washed denim collection is one of my favorites in the five collections being launched. Simple cuts in fine denim and chambre with quirky detailing of gems created in the form of cute bugs. The collection will retail between Rs. 3200 to Rs. 4500 and available in stores.
5. I See You collection: The much loved (at least my be) hip collection that was showcased at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015 will also be available in stores from 11th July. The collection draws inspiration from the animalistic dispositions that can be found within each of us – the thin, raw line that separates what is human and what is organic. In terms of fabric, the collection has been created in a variety, including raw finish cottons, denim and dobby juxtaposed with luxe silks, organzas and mesh and will be available within a range of Rs. 4000 to Rs 9000.
