OPI Neon Revolution Mini Nail Set - LIMITED EDITION

Summers are no longer here and the winter chill is in the air. That doesn't mean we should completely let go of bright colors. Adding some zing through accessories and makeup is always a sure way of brightening up a dreary winter day. OPI Neon Revolution is the nail set that you should keep close this winter for those occasional color breaks.

I love the different sets OPI launches every now and then. They are ideal for trying out new shades and textures as an experiment compared to the bigger bottles where you try to only get hold of the ones you will use more often.

The OPI Neon Revolution set has a white base, 4 Neon color polishes and one top coat. Instead of trying them out separately I tried a bit of nail art instead.

The packaging, like most of their stuff, is fun yet simple.

WHITE BASE COAT: The Biggest disappointment of this set. The base coat, I don't know if it had gotten old or the formula was off, was not consistent and took ages to dry. Even though the colors would have come out brighter and more neon with the base coat I had to finally use them without it. I wish it was a better formula, missed out a lot due to this :/

BLUE IT OUT OF PROPORTION (Blue Shade): Not a very neon shade but creates balance if used with the other shades. The bottle looks darker than the actual color. It comes on dark without base otherwise its a bright blue shade. reminded me of the Blue poster paints I used in art class :)

DON"T SAY IT - YELLOW IT (Yellow Shade): Easy to apply, sheer yellow color which has just the right amount of brightness required for screaming NEON instead of turning into a glow war! This color, however, definitely requires a white base coat to properly accentuate the yellow.

THE TIME IS POW (Orange Shade): This is one of my favorites in this set. It can be used without the base coat and will still deliver yummy goodness. A bright happy orange.

PINK OUTSIDE THE BOX (Neon Pink Shade): Another favorite of mine in this set. Great consistency and a smacking neon pink shade, utterly delicious and something I will use as is. Loved  this candy bright shade.







TOP COAT: This was the savior. Where the base coat failed, the top coat was victorious. It added that extra Oomph required with its glossy finish which brought the look and feel together.

As far as Nail art is considered I only used a paper clip and masking tape to make this. I dont do nail art so attempt was nothing too wow either, but hey! I tried and the possibilities of creating art on nails with this set is limitless!

The blue came out darker, its much brighter if used with base coat but alas!
