PURE Health Cafe - Eat Well Live Well

I may not be size zero, neither do I want to be but eating healthy is something I prefer. I may not be a hardcore health fanatic and dwell in occasional junk like nuggets and fries but that is not a daily routine (Thank God). When a healthy food joint comes to town we count our blessings because sadly we don't have enough places offering healthy and affordable food at the same time.

Pure Health Cafe launched on the 10th of April'14 with their first branch in block 9 Clifton, Karachi. It is a Canadian chain that is known to offer healthier options to the junk food present around us in abundance. The franchisee is Mr. Mohammad Aslam Sheikh, CEO Taj Corporation.

The launch had a GREEN CARPET (yup, not red) and a FASHION presentation. That is quite a Fashionable way of presenting health...no? Some may question why even have a fashion show at a Health cafe launch, but hey why not? Models flaunt great food in commercials as well so why not LIVE :) As long as the food tastes good, which it did, I am cool with seeing some healthy ramp strutting. The fashion presentation clothes were designed by Mansoor Akram, the Hair and Makeup were by my dear friend Akef Ilyas <3

Pure Health café’s menu is very extensive with reasonably priced sandwiches, wraps, paninis, salads, fresh juices, smoothies and frozen yoghurts. Bite-size samples and health drink shots were passed around for the guests to get a taste of PURE-ness. I tried the chicken wrap, a good balance of dry wrap on the top with juicy chicken inside. Another wrap which I tasted had shrimps ( slightly on the chewy side) however I was not able to find it on their menu but it is called the Blue Seafood Melt. Chicken Panini and Chicken club sandwiches tasted fine as well.

In drinks, the following were served: Anti-Aging (yes that's what it is called, made of Guava, papaya, Strawberry and Grapefruit. Not as chilled as it should be and Guava seeds in the mouth can be subtracted), Cholesterol Reducer (yup that's the name of an interesting concoction of Carrots, Cucumber and Nuts ) and another concoction of Banana, Apple and Strawberry which ended up being the best of three (for me).

The turnout was really good. The place was filled with Media Socialites and Celebrities like Azfar Rehman, Sohail Javed, Akef Ilyas, Anoushey Ashraf, Sanam Jung, Zubaida Apa, Mathira and many more. The Event Management and PR were managed well by TAKE II.

I already have a lunch meet up planned at PURE HEALTH CAFE next week with a few friends. What's your Schedule like? Healthy much? :)
