A few days back I got L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss (Brown) in mail for review. I was looking at it wondering "Oh no I like this product but my old dye is still outgrowing and trying it on myself would be a waste for this review, specially when I don't use brown and would have maybe tried Berry red..." Luckily my mom walked by, stopped when she caught a glimpse of what I was holding and said, "By the way I need to dye my hair soon so get me some brown dye too".

I could visualize a light bulb shining on top of my head! My mother shall be my test subject! (p.s: she agreed willingly as long as her face doesn't show. She was a very eager and obedient subject too)

I have always liked L'Oreal because I have tried it twice before. The packaging is savvy and stands out in the shop shelves as it doesn't have the typical Squarish look like the other dyes.

The Brand claims: Casting Crème Gloss is a no ammonia hair colourant that gives your hair visible shimmering tones, glossy shine and blends away grey. Give your hair a total beauty treatment with Casting Crème Gloss, for glossy rich, natural-looking colour with visible shimmering tones.





The Instructions are quite easy to follow and it will also be the first time I applied a dye on someone else so I was excited to try it out even more.

Let's begin . . .

ALWAYS check the instructions and read very carefully. Dying your hair is not child's play. U can really damage your hair if you don't do it properly.



The Package contains:

1 tube of coloring creme (48ml)
1 tube of developer creme (72ml)
1 precision tip applicator
1 container of Royal Jelly Conditioner (40ml)
1 pair of professional quality gloves in a cute container ( I washed and saved these for if I ever want to use them again in some DIY project)
1 Instruction Leaflet

Preparing the Formula (step by step! Yaay!):
Step 1: The box is a smart design. It turns into a dye developer holder. The dotted lines are punched in a sequence to adjust the developer and hold it in place as you can see in the photo on the left.
So cool. I like and appreciate such ideas :)








 Step 2: After piercing both the openings you insert the Coloring Creme into the Developer (see Photo above) and empty the content of the tube (roll it up good and tight!)


 Step 3: Screw on the nozzle applicator tip on the developer tube (as in the Photo) and shake shake shake! After its mixed well twist and break of the tip and the dye is ready for application.

Step 4: Start applying the dye from the roots and then outwards towards the tips. The nozzle applicator made it really easy to apply. Make sure you wear the gloves. You want brown hair, not hands! Usually the dyes smell too chemical to most people but I have always loved the smell since the first time I ever dyed my hair. L'Oreal smelled even nicer.

Step 5: After application leave the color in for 20 to 30 minutes (My mother kept it for 40 minutes). Rinse the color out till you see no color leakage. Be sure to condition your hair. It helps hair get moisturized and damage free.

Step 6: Dry your hair and feel fabulous :)

My mother was satisfied with the end result and so was I. The color is suppose to last for 28 washes but as per previous experience it can last longer. 

L'Oreal Castings Creme Gloss is available in most Cosmetic shops and even superstores. It cost approximately Rs.950 and you can also purchase it from Just4girls.pk.
