Yes you read right *cough cough*
I am sharing Expert tips for the perfect Blow job for your hair.

Too much hair styling, the wrong hair product, ignorance can completely ruin your hair so start taking notes because beautiful hair require caution and care!

I think the best way of gathering some good information (other than the usual Googling) would be to ask the Hair Stylist themselves so I asked some experienced professionals, both new and old, to compare notes on the "Perfect Blow Dry To Dos".

ANGIE MARSHAL:
"Hair should be freshly shampooed.
Apply product if required such as heat styling products or serum. If the hair still feels wet, remove excess moisture with a dryer.
Hair should be parted into sections and clipped.
Use a boar bristle or mixed bristle brush.
Always point the nozzle of the dryer downwards on hair, this will help getting rid of frizz and flyaway hair, as you move the brush through hair follow along the brush with your dryer
Once u finish each section blast cool air from your dryer to set Finish off with serum."

SAIMA RASHID BARGFREDE:
"A perfect blow dry depends a lot on how well you clean and condition your hair. Normally if your hair are washed well and there are no deposits in it (left over shampoo or conditioner),
if they are over colored or bleached they need products to heal the shaft so hair can look smooth and shine (Serum or balms for hair can do it).
Most important is heat of your dryer. It all depends on the heat that shapes your hair and then cooling down your locks properly. Remember, never leave a section of hair till its back to its normal temperature.
A good brush can be of great help which works on static and absorbs more heat faster to work better with blow dryer.
Working with small sections of hair always makes the blow dry better."

NATASHA SALON:
"We recommend a good wash , followed by towel drying and a good conditioner. Prior to air drying roots, apply a mousse if required but a good serum to retain moisturizer is a must & a heat protection product. After air drying roots and 40% hair, divide hair into clean section and work your way up...Roots, mid length and then the ends. Finish off each strand with a blast of cool air to seal the curl.
Shine spray or a fixing spray can be applied at the end."

So keeping the above tips in mind and finally googling and finding worthy enough tips and tricks for a Perfect Blow dry, yet maintaining Healthy Hair (special thanks to Schwarzkopf for taking the award for the best Blow dry tips):
1. Make it possible not to use the high heat settings of your blow-dryer. The air stream should feel comfortable on the back of your hand.

2. Keep your distance! Keep the hair dryer at least 8 inches away from your hair.

3. If your hair is fine you should set the air stream to low. Otherwise, you may end up with tangles in your hair.

4. Blow-dry every individual hair strand from the roots to the ends. This technique provides smooth cuticle layers, which are the basis for healthy, shiny, and well-protected hair.

5. You should keep the blow-dryer moving constantly to avoid applying too much heat in a single spot. We recommend dividing the hair in several portions and securing the strands with large hair clips or grips. Work your way up blow-drying your hair from the neckline to the crown of your head so that you don't hit the same strand of hair multiple times.

6. Most of us have to somehow live with the morning rush. Whenever you must speed up drying your hair use a higher setting for the air stream, not for the heat.

7. Always use a heat protectant. These products help prevent blow-drying damage.

8. Try not to blow-dry your hair immediately after shampooing. Ideally, you should allow your hair to first dry for 15 minutes under a towel turban. This saves effort and also cuts down on the hair exposure to the blow-dryer.

9. The diffuser attachment of your blow-dryer spreads out a more even air stream. This also prevents exposing individual strands of hair to too much heat.

10. Once you are done blow-drying your hair, briefly apply a stream of cool air. This cooling step gives your hair more elasticity.

So ONE thing which is quite apparent is that we don't necessarily need HEAT which is the main damaging element in blow drying. We can air dry as well and keep the heat to a minimum as well.

I hope this post helped you ladies and will lead to healthy, shiny, bouncy hair!
