Faraz Manan showcased his latest NAWABI collection at Ensemble Karachi recently. Amongst other Multi brand stores I always found Ensemble events to be a bit more aggressive (positively), though it also depends on the designer that is showcasing. The NAWABI collection is inspired by the time when the Begums and the Nawabs were influenced by the European culture, thus a fusion of western cuts with eastern embellishments.

Faraz Manan, known for his lawn prints which has been designing for Crescent, also dwells in Luxury pret and Couture. The overall event was a short affair with mostly heavily embellished bridal apparels with a few speckles of luxury pret kurtas. The pret, however got lost in the glimmer and gold of the wedding collection. The main fabric used in the collection were silk, organza and lace.
The over all collection was decent and attractive. you can never go wrong with gold on gold. Consisting of apparels for both men and women, classic cuts, sarees, jackets, mainly ethnic. Embellishment was inspired by the polki jewelry done with gold and Swarosvski.

The price range is steep. Luxury Pret starting from Rs.32,000/ and Bridals that go up to 1 million (I would be thinking of buying two cars with that kind of money though). Do people by this? Yes, they do that is why Faraz sells. I would say this collection is easily affordable by Begums and Nawabs ;)

WHO WORE IT BETTER (they may not be exactly alike but definitely similar and styling comparison is possible) What do you think? Zhalay Or Momal
