PIXI BEAUTY - Palette Rosette, Fairy Dust and More

I got a surprise in my mail a couple of months ago. I was too caught up with my sister's wedding and then the Fashion Week project so was not able to review but now that I finally have the time I cant wait to share how much I actually enjoyed using some of Pixi Beauty makeup products. Hold on to your cellphones, laptops or whatever you are reading my blog on because this is going to be a long but delicious post.

I call makeup delicious because anything that makes you drool is just that. First, lets just talk about how yummy and pretty the packaging is. The overall color theme is minty green which gives that instant fresh, playful outlook.

Pixi Beauty launched a few products last holidays which reached me a little late (thank you customs!). However, the best thing about these is that they are not just for Holidays, you can use them all year round and they are still available, yaaas!

Pixi Beauty Palette Rosette 

This all-in-one palette is a great travel buddy if you don't want to carry too many things. I also find it handy to create a natural everyday glowy look. The palette consists off:

8 x Eye Shades

3 x Brow Shades

3 x Face Shades

Duo Applicator.

The formula as well as pigmentation is favorable and creamy. It also blends well and lasts good 6+ hours. The highlighter, blush and bronzer are not very intense but definitely pigmented and buttery, create a very soft glow. These are ideal for a day summer glow look and I use these all the time.

I like the eye shadows as you can create a subtle to intense smokey eye look with them. There are three eye highlighter shades and 5 other shades (a mix of neutrals, warms and browns) you can play with. I only wish they had one transition peachy or medium toned shade and this would be 10/10 for me.

The brow hues are quite easy to work with and I am glad that they added those because many palettes don't focus on eye brows. They are not intensely pigmented which is good because they give a more natural finish which I prefer.

Pixi Beauty Fairy Dust Favourites

I am seriously obsessed with these pigments. I can eat them up, they are so freaking amazing. This is a set of loose eye shadow powders that come in a stack. I have used these as as eye shadow, eye liner and even played around with them for lipart. You can dab them on regular lipsticks to create that metallic lustre that is trending these days. The loose pigments can be used with a wet brush but I prefer mixing medium for a stronger hold. You can use a clear gel primer as a mixing medium as well.

Very fine pigments, you get options of glow, matte or shimmer. I think I got the glow set or maybe shimmer (it has a satin glow finish) and it is bomb! There are 5 warm shades; You can see swatches on my arm are from bottom to top: Peach Glow, True Bronze, Ruby Sheen, Sun kissed Amber and Black Pearl.

Pixi Beauty Mattelustre Lipstick in Classic Red

Even though I am a sucker for lipsticks the mattelustre is something I am still figuring out. As per brand it is "Full-coverage, adjustable-finish lipstick for long lasting, vivid lip colour with a plumping effect". I don't know if I am crazy in love with the formula but it gets the job done. It is supposed to be a multi-tasking lipstick. For a glossy look you can wear it as it is. To add a semi-matte finish you just need dab with fingers (or blot it), that actually worked when I tried it (usually works with most creamy lipsticks actually). The color payoff is not as intense as I expected but decent enough for an opaque satin finish that can work for 4 hours without re-application.

I got the shade "classic red" which is a cool bright red. There are 11 mattelustre colors to choose from. I do like the lightweight formula, its not thick, and the subtle plumping, moisturizing element. Lips look and feel good for sure.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Oyster Glow

This silky pen is magic, not kidding. I did not expect much from it when I saw it initially. I was thinking "Just another glitter pencil" but this thing is fierce and beautiful. Smooth, satin-shimmer finish, you apply it and it wont budge! Long wear creamy gel formula that applies like butter. Must try more, they come in 18 shades.

I have to say that considering it was my first time trying Pixi Beauty I was impressed. From packaging to quality and even the pricing, it is a great brand to own. Have already ordered their Pixi Glow Tonic so don't be surprised to read more about their products on my blog.
