The Balm has officially launched in Pakistan, starting with Karachi. The Balm is known for cult classic products like Mary Lou Manizer and Bahama Mama (my favorite). The news of the launch excited many and the products were almost sold out as soon as it was open for public.

The Balm was officially launched at the Scentsation, Dolmen Mall Karachi and was attended by the who’s who of the fashion, beauty and entertainment fraternity. The company is now entering into the Pakistani market by collaborating with ‘SCENTSATION’ which itself is the leading luxury retailer in the fragrance Industry. Pakistan Beauty Community was also a big support at this event through which many beauty bloggers attended the much-awaited event.

I was amazed to see that the pricing was done reasonably. The cost was adjusted to a decent amount in comparison to actual product cost that is available on the official website. For instance, their matte liquid lipsticks retail at $17 in USA and available for PKR.2,100 here. I find that decent if you calculate approx damage cost.

There was light activity because the main focus was on the products and sample testing, who wouldn't enjoy that? I certainly did. Models got their make done in front of the guests so they could get a taste of what the product can do. Beauty bloggers buzzed around the kiosk, testing and selecting their favorites.

Overall, the event was a social affair where the products were presented to the select few before being open for public. I was recovering from Malaria but beauty products always cheer me up. The goodie bag was super nice and I will be reviewing many The Balm products in the near future so keep tuning back to my blog!
