OPI doesn't really need a thorough introduction. The infamous nail polish brand has made a significant mark in the world of nail beauty (since 1989 to be more precise). The brand, available in over 100 countries worldwide, is considered a world leader in professional nail care products. I received a beauty care package from them recently, BRIGHTS by OPI set. It's interesting that I have mostly received bright shades from OPI.

OPI has always been quite innovative with their exciting themed nail art/polish sets. For this particular set, BRIGHTS by OPI, they teamed up with Swarovski to bring the latest in amplified color plus glittering nail art. The set has real Swarovski crystals, nail glue, and a trio of vivid brights lacquers: Hotter than You Pink, Samoan Sand, and The Berry Thought of You.
The OPI packaging, for their sets, is always impressive. The design is simple and modern, yet has pizazz. Information is well displayed, be it name of the nail lacquers or details of the theme/series. This one in particular also had an extra fold at the back which pops out with a write up on the bright color trends.
The box contains three full-size Nail lacquers along with some sweet Swarovski crystals and a really strong glue.
I was quite happy with the fact that this set had full-size bottles. I am not fond of the minis. The formula of the original full-size bottles are much better.
These three, in particular, had good consistency in formula and each required just two coats for good coverage while drying almost instantly.
The glue is seriously strong and a very tiny drop is more than enough. It took me a while to get it off later!
The shades are as apt as their names suggest:
Hotter than You Pink: This is a deliciously electric pink with a shimmery, duotone finish.
Samoan Sand: I rarely come across nude, almost skin tone, nail colors that are flattering, but THIS is it. You can do a sexy french manicure, add on color for nail art or just wear is alone.
The Berry Thought of You: I honestly thought this was more purple but it ended up being a more pinkish purple. I like the berriness though which compliments the other "hotter than you pink"shade, especially if you want to create gradient nail art.
I seriously suck when it comes to nail art but I still try. The Swarovski crystals were too tempting so I had to play around a little. You can see that there is not a very BIG difference between "Hotter than you pink" and "The berry thought of you".

ReplyDeleteI love nail polish sets and this looks adorable, especially with the Swarovski crystals! I agree with you about Samoan Sand, shades like these are hard to come by and I also thought the other one would have been more purple! Anyways, love your cute nail art, hehe. xx
