Color Studio Professionals PURE MATT LIPSTICKS - 31 Shades Review and Swatches

Aaaah! When these 31 shades of lipsticks from Color Studio Pro came to my doorstep, I had to pinch myself. A lipstick junkie like myself, I was ecstatic and seriously didn't know how to fully express my happiness. Obviously the first thing I did was drink some water and calm my self down, while holding the box of goodies tightly(Mine, Mine Mine!). Is the new Color Studio Professionals Pure Matt Collection to die for?

I have used this product before but CSP has updated its formula as well as shades. I am a sucker for matt lipsticks (actually all kinds of lipsticks) but do keep in mind the lips should be prepped with balm before applying ANY matt lipstick to avoid extensive drying and cracking of lips.

The BRAND Claims:

The high-performance lipstick formula is fused with a blend of Bamboo Extract, Shea Butter and Vitamin E. My EXPERIENCE:

I have tried CSP Pure Matte lipsticks before but for some reason I preferred the Color Rush series more, as the matt didn't suit me earlier. I decide to give it another go, and I am quite glad I did.

The Packaging hasn't changed from the previous one. I always liked the impact with white text over black surface. It makes it look quite modern and sleek.

The squarish, black lipstick tube is sturdy and easy to use. Overall packaging is quite impressive.

- 36 diverse shades, I was sent 31 

- Pigmented, however the level of pigmentation depends on the color. I have experienced that the darker the shade, the richer it is

- Subtle shimmer which is apparent in some shade, and not so much in others. The shimmer is meant to give dimension to the color, when worn

- Matt, creamy formula that glides on easily and doesn't dry your lips as much as other matt lipsticks do

- Long wear

- Light on lips, don't feel cakey

- Smells yummy with an odd mix of Vanila and caramel

- Lipstick, as you can see from my swatches, are not completely flat matt in appearance and are a little reflective

- Can pile up on the corners of your lips but that can be avoided if you prep your lips before application and lightly blot away excess
