Fashion Pakistan Week TFPW15 - Day 1 - FNKASIA - Purity in Freedom

When you think of FNKASIA you see crazy folk patterns and prints fused with modern, yet comfortable silhouettes. This time it was simple yet beautiful. Light fabrics, flowy dresses, white on white texture and let's not forget the free spirit of the FREEDOM collection was all encapsulated through this spring summer 2015 collection on the ramp.

When the models walked on to the ramp, clad in FREEDOM, I could imagine them barefoot, on the golden, sandy beaches. The message of summer was quite apparent. Freedom in comfort, in embracing boldness through simplicity, in form, the collection radiated ease and elegance.

Along with white, another trend that has made a come back this summer, and used in this collection, was macrame and crochet. The breezy clothes were textured with overlays of knotted or weaved macrame which are usually used for accessories but were crafted with perfection in balance to complete the outfits. Cut work technique and lace were also used for texturing within the white.

The palette was mostly white with a few solid shades of deep blue, peachy orange and a summer yellow which added that extra zing in the series. Each piece is complete and a great example of ramp to retail, you dont need to change a thing.

The FREEDOM collection was an evolution of the bohemian, taking it to the next level. A dress from this series is a must have in your summer wardrobe. Ideal to pair it up in so many other accessories and styles.
