Masarrat Misbah Makeup - Halal, Hot and Happening

Masarrat Misbah, one of the pioneers of makeup artistry in Pakistan, launched her cosmetics line with HALAL Certified being the unique selling point. Well what do you know ladies, we have our very own hala makeup products in Pakistan now!

Now before I move on let me clear ONE thing (or more). HALAL does not mean that the Non Halal makeup users are being judged (or should not use this product). It means that the ladies who are super particular (which is fine) have an option to use something that they are comfortable using. As per MM: "We have refrained from using any haram animal substances or intoxicants in our products. Each product is also free of harmful Parabens."

For me it just means a NEW quality brand to try. More makeup, a merrier me.

The EVENT:
The launch of the MM Makeup Line, exclusively for media and beauty bloggers (ladies only), was short, sweet and precise. A brief over view was given on the makeup and followed by everyone testing the makeup themselves. The Ladies got first hand experience by getting foundation and basic makeup done right there and then.

The makeup is being produced from Turkey but directly controlled by Masarrat Misbah and Team. I found the overall quality of the products very good and the value for the price is also reasonable. The need for Halal makeup in Pakistan was realized and that resulted in MM Makeup Line.

The PACKAGING:
The design and overall packaging of the products are impressive. The main color scheme is black and white, very basic. The outer, black boxes have matte lamination, clearly labeled and easy to open. the inner products have a velvet matte finish and feel as well as look very high end.

SILK FOUNDATION:

- Nice Packaging with easy pump bottle
- Available in 12 shades so you can definitely find one right for your skin
- Darker shades can be used as concealers
- Medium to full coverage in a very little amount
- Blends and absorbs easily in the skin
- Not shiny or sticky
- Long Lasting
- Matte finish
- Feels light on skin and smells pleasant
- The shade I got is ALMOND
- Cost - PKR.1,100

ETHEREAL GLOW HIGHLIGHTER:

- Nice Packaging
- Pigmented with nice color pay off
- Has Shimmer
- Blends into a skin well while giving a sheer effect
- Available in 3 shades
- I got the shade  Radiant Pink which gives a purplish pink glow
- Long lasting
- No streaking or blotching
- Cost - PKR.900

LIP GLOSS:

- Nice Packaging, comes in a slick tube bottle with easy to use sponge applicator
- Great color pay off
- Applies easily and doesn't leak though using a lip pencil may help add dimension to your lip shape
- 3 shade options but I really wish they get more in the future
- I got the shade Dahlia
- Long lasting (compared to most glosses)
- Not sticky (that is a wow factor for me)
- Moisturizing
- Sheer yet you can build it up, rich color on the lips instead of just being a frosty, tinted layer
- Cost - PKR.650

LIP VARNISH:

- Clean Packaging with matte finish, squarish outer tube and gold inner twister
- Available in 16 shades
- Available in both matte and shimmer finish
- I got the shade Afghan Rose, A peachy nude with subtle shimmer great for those intense smokey eyes look
- Moisturizing
- Glides on easily
- Good Color Pay off
- Feels light on lips, not cakey
- Infused with Shea Butter and Vitamin E
- Cost - PKR.650

LIQUID LIPSTICK:

- The nice packaging is same as Lip Gloss
- Available in 4 shades
- I got the shade in Phenomenal Red which is like a bright mix of red and peach with warm undertones.
- Sponge applicator, easy to apply
- Pigmented with great color pay off
- Dries instantly to a matte finish
- A bit over drying
- DO NOT blend after application, let it dry completely for best results or else will get blotchy
- SUPER long lasting and wont come off easily (makeup remover essential)
- Cost - PKR.1,100
