Sephora Artist Color Box Makeup Palette Review and Swatches

I had received the Sephora Artist Color Box Makeup Palette for my birthday and was still not able to review it for you guys, till now. Oh well it's never too late ;) I had heard so much about this palette but didn't expect it as a gift from one of my favorite cousin Scellina. I suppose gifts have become better, now that my friends and family know what I like (thanks to my blog ;p)

The Packaging is really nice. I like how the colors show through the SEPHORA logo <3

This Artist Box consists of:
- 24 eye shadows
- 6 x lip glosses
- 5 x eye pencils
- Double-ended lip gloss/eye shadow applicator

COST: Approx $37

The EYE SHADOWS:

The palette contains 24 matte, shimmer and glitter finish. Pigmentation varied with each color. I found the shimmery ones more pigmented and rich in color. Eye shadow primer is recommended for long wear and better blending. My favorites are number 24, 15 and 11.

The LIP GLOSSES:

I am not a big fan of lip gloss. I prefer matte or velvet finish lipsticks more than any other. The lip glosses in this palette didn't blend well and were more of a thin layer on my lips and enhanced imperfections. number 3 was the only one which blended fine. Number 6 is clear with subtle nude tint. 4 and 5 are frosty, natural shades as well. 1 and 2, which I looked forward to, were just OK. These can be applied over your other matte lipsticks for gloss effect.

The EYE PENCILS:
The eye pencils are creamy and pigmented. They glide on easily and the colors are super fun. Purple and teal are my favorite and most used ones.

Overall I rate this Palette 3/5. It's a good buy and not too expensive either (compared to most of Sephora's Palettes). If anyone of you have used this palette do leave a comment below with feedback <3
