Mango showcased their Winter Collection 2013 recently at the Dolmen Mall, Clifton outlet.
That was my first outing after the month long Malaria (still recovering). I was pretty excited, specially because I was going to meet the blogger's gang as well after a long time (we are not competitive, in fact highly appreciative of each other! Booyaaah!)

Any hoot! Since DMC's (Dolmen Mall,Clifton) birth Karachi-ites have been blessed with Brands which were not available before in Pakistan...or at least not officially. One of those brands is Mango.

Mango, originally from Spain, is a much loved and famous retail brand with hundreds of outlets all across the world. (For a detailed background please check Wikipedia). Mango is know for its fresh, trendy designs and super affordability. Everyone remembers the clean, crisp advertising with their former brand ambassador Kate Moss. The place has been filled with the new face of Mango, Miranda Kerr (Ex Victoria Secret Angel). The angel landed on Mango and the transition from Kate to Miranda was flawless.

The name Mango was inspired by the fruit itself. A fruit that is very common in Pakistan, but considered exotic and even a delicacy in some places.

Mango finally decided its time to launch the winter collection in Karachi, Pakistan (Considering this city is mostly hot, in every way). The overall collection was definitely trendy yet sleek compared to the previous Grungy Summer Collection. I was not too excited about the long dresses but the rest of the stuff was very wearable and chic, a definite casual wear mostly.

Dress pants and jeans, jackets and pullover, denim down wear, sweaters, leather jackets, wool jackets, mini skirts, caps and uppers. Evening dresses are also there but more for the select niche market. The sophisticated, gorgeous dresses were eye candy for me...kapiche! The main colors were blue, grey, red, black and white if you don't count the digital prints and florals.

The collection is spot on when it comes to trend. The boho flair, digital elegance, monochrome, everything you need for some star speckled confidence.

My favorites in the collection are the following. I am completely in LOVE with the Bomber Jacket with the digital Print (though its never that cold in Karachi and I might just wear it a couple of times :/) Unfortunately this jacket is not available in the Karachi store at the moment. I loved the floral Shirt and Jacket. The Black Faux Fur Vest was to die for (Interesting enough I couldn't find it in the catalogue but searched online and found it).

It was a simple, sweet and short event. Good collection and great company can never make your mood go wrong :) Better go get something you like before its all gone!
