Nida Azwer, a versatile designer who has been making waves since she began her journey in the field of fashion in 2005. Her label includes a Prêt a Porter line, Haute Couture and Bridal lines. Most elegant divas in Pakistan have at least one Nida Azwer piece in their closet, guaranteed. I am almost ready to buy one for myself as well *fingers crossed* Unless she sends me a surprise :p

Recently Nida launched her second flagship store (in the Nation) in Ocean Tower, Karachi which turned the previous waves into a storm. "Nida Azwer Atlier" opened to public on June 1st and was inaugurated by one of my favorite Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture Faculty member, and now Dean, Shahnaz Ismail. This truly shows Nida's loyalty to her school and teacher. A sweet gesture indeed.


The collection showcased in the launch is Nida's coveted pret line "the White Label" which caters to the modern woman of today. Contemporary styles, bright summery hues, comprising of pure cotton, silk, linen, chiffon and cotton/silk net fabrics, with her signature digital prints and screen prints.

The ready to wear Pret line starts as low as 3000 to 4000 rupees on wards depending on fabric, embroidery, prints and cuts.

Nida, even though sometimes know to produce work that's gorgeous yet a bit heavy on the pocket, has made her mark beautifully. I hope this stepping up can take her much further ahead.
 I might add a Nida Azwer to my wardrobe soon :)


The exclusive preview of the brand new store was attended by designers, media personalities and socialites alike such as Safinaz Muneer, Sana Hashwani, Ayesha Hashwani, Hina Bayaat, Misha Lakhani, Umair Tabani, Kiran Aman, Sanam Chaudhry, Moshin Sayeed, Maheen Karim, Zahir Rahimtoola and Nieni Rafi.
